1 Completely Free Stock Footage Clip Inches Along

My raindrop clip was so popular, when I saw a downpour outside, I immediately ran to get my camera to see what I could capture with the 180mm Macro.  Immediately I saw this guy cruising across the walkway.  I was able to place my camera on the ground just under my awning and get a somewhat ground level view.  The falling drops in super slow motion make this clip seem like the worm is navigating a war zone.  If you notice, at 240fps he is still moving quite quick.  If you have the time, try speeding this clip up in your editor by 10x to see how fast it was really going.

You are welcome to use this video in your projects you are working on, or keep it in your clip library for future work. The only thing you cannot do is turn around and offer it AS stock footage. Have fun with it!

1 Free Stock Footage Clip is Purr-fect

I happened to walk by my little tortoiseshell cat "Lady" the other day on my way to grab a shot of the snow falling outside.  She was laying on the top of an armchair near a window in a very calm mood.  Since I knew she wasn't going anywhere for a while, and I was curious as to how close my Sigma 180mm lens could get to her, I set up my camera and was able to capture this.  Shooting this wide open at a 2.0 and at a fixed 180mm, the depth of field is quite thin but thankfully Lady stayed still long enough to keep the pupil in focus for a usable period of time.  Hope you like it!

1 Free Stock Footaqe Clip Is Very Deer to Me

I was out shooting the other morning while there was a nice fog over the area.  I initially had my lens pointed at a bush branch that was to my right, getting really nothing in particular (dew-like folliage shot).  This guy was a tiny bit curious and actually walked across the field to get a closer look.  I slowly panned my camera to meet him.  As you can see he is very cautious, but also curious.  I didn't have that long of a lens on me at the time, so I'd say he got about 15-20 feet away from me.  I think the bush helped mask me a bit.  He got spooked and  ran away when I tried to unlock the tilt on my tripod in an attempt to center him up a bit more and decrease the headroom.  All in all, a pretty nice morning.  Hopefully this clip will work well with my other deer footage too.

1 Stock Footage Clip Walks into my Parlour

I've spend a couple of mornings these past few weeks in a small wooded/park area, with the few minutes I have in-between dropping my kids off at daycare and starting my full time job, challenging myself to some high-speed macro shooting with my FS700 and Sigma 24mm Macro lens.  My goal was to get clips of some male mosquitoes (since they are abundant here and they don't bite) flying around dreamily in slow motion. I usually walk away without any usable footage but a game plan for something new to try the next day.   The razor-thin depth of field when shooting macro made following around a very small bug, that flies VERY fast, quite a feat.  I took a break from chasing them around when I noticed this spider in a web lit very well by the rising sun.  Amazingly, in between hitting record and the camera actually beginning the record, one of the mosquitoes flew into the web!!!  It was an incredible thing to catch, considering I was already set up to shoot/expose at 240fps.  I was also channeling my inner J.J. Abrams with that lens flare popping into the shot.  Hope you can use it!!!

Fun side project: In your NLE, take the video clip and speed it up 10x to see the real speed in which this whole thing happened.

4 Stock Footage Clips are Gull-ible

While I was at the lake getting some great shots of the water, I managed to get pretty close to some seagulls who were hanging out.  They were mostly riding the wind close to shore, looking for food.  The wind was so heavy, they really didn't need to flap their wings that much.  The slow motion really helps capture the moment.

I've pretty much uploaded these clips untouched (not graded).  I tried to better expose the bird, and lost a lot of detail in the sky ... when I tried to level out the sky, it darkened the gull.  I decided to leave it up to you and your needs for this clip.  Touch it up how you see fit.

Once again I've included some different shots to hopefully help in editing.

2 Stock Footage Clips to Fawn Over

I had set a goal for myself to get some footage of turkeys before the US holiday Thanksgiving comes around at the end of the month.  I've been heading out to spots where they have been spotted in my area early in the morning before I had to be in to work.  I unfortunately have not had much luck, but I did have a chance to hang out with these guys for a little bit right after sunup.

The second tracking shot of the doe with her little ones were actually done from my car.  I was on an access road at a local park and saw these guys off in the distance.  I am impressed with this shot, just because it was at 200mm out the window of my car while I was moving in reverse down the street.  They watched me while I parked and got out my tripod, and the tracking shot of the doe was done again at 200mm while she was checking me out.  I'm happy that I was able to come and go without spooking them too much.

1 Clip is for the Birds

This video file I am offering to you is actually a collection of 8 clips. This bird you see was having a fun time coming to the feeder and then jumping away (back to his/her nest maybe?). ANYWAYS, It was taken in the early AM as you can see a rather pastel color palette in the background. The depth of field is fairly short, but the little bugger is in it more often than not.
