I was out shooting the other morning while there was a nice fog over the area. I initially had my lens pointed at a bush branch that was to my right, getting really nothing in particular (dew-like folliage shot). This guy was a tiny bit curious and actually walked across the field to get a closer look. I slowly panned my camera to meet him. As you can see he is very cautious, but also curious. I didn't have that long of a lens on me at the time, so I'd say he got about 15-20 feet away from me. I think the bush helped mask me a bit. He got spooked and ran away when I tried to unlock the tilt on my tripod in an attempt to center him up a bit more and decrease the headroom. All in all, a pretty nice morning. Hopefully this clip will work well with my
other deer footage too.

I love your footage and wanted to use a few of your clips it in an original project but hate the idea of not giving you credit...where would I find this info? Great work!
ReplyDeleteIf you wish to credit, you can either mention www.beachfrontbroll.com or Beachfront B-Roll. Thanks for your kind words!
DeleteHello Beach, on the bottom on your page I see that your footage is licenced under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License - so you actually "have" to give credit (?)
Delete:)
What lens (mm) was this shot with.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Alex

Happy to! The download links are available below the YouTube preview. The "read more" is only applicable when reading the article from the main blog page. Sorry for the confusion!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI want to say thank you for making the beautiful footage of the deer available. I included it in an animation which was inspired by a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. When I saw your video the idea just fell into place.
Thank you!
