1 Free Stock Footage Clip Is Being Fast Tracked

I've actually had this clip in my library for a descent amount of time and forgot about it.  Sorry!

I had the opportunity to go to New York City for a production I was helping shoot, and captured this in some off time.  Unique to this, and missing from a lot of my other clips, ambient audio IS included. There was nothing recognizable, so I felt comfortable leaving it in.  It also helps in adding a little atmosphere.  The video and audio is loop-able, so it would be useful as a background and might even be applicable as a plate shot for you VFX people.  Hope you find it helpful!!!!

You can preview and download the clips by clicking "read more" below.  Happy Downloading!

1 Free Stock Footage Clip Hits the Deck

Here is another clip I had been meaning to do for a while.  I've finally found the time to sit down and capture it.  Personally, the timing is perfect, considering I am completely geeking out over Marvel's new Guardians of the Galaxy movie (unpaid plug, but if you want to send me something Marvel, I won't turn it down!).  For those of you media professionals who are late to the game making a video review, feel free to utilize this in your project (It would make a great title card!).

This clip has also been made loopable.

1 HD Clip Needs a Pot of Gold

I was fortunate enough to stumble across Attila Vago's blog "BitsBits".  It is there where you can find the best free things on the internet.  He posted an offer by Daz3D  for free licensing of the 3D modeling program Bryce 7.1.  I used Bryce over a decade ago in college, so I was interested in trying it out again.

Getting back into the swing of things, I was able to put this little clip together in very little time, but rendering it out proved to be a resource hog on my tiny little laptop.  To me its an abstract look at what it may be like to travel through a rainbow if it was something more than an optical illusion and refracted light.

This clip is loopable.

1 Clip Needs You To Blow In It

I made this clip the other day for a small project I am toying with.  It was meant to recreate the trippy side effect of a dirty 80's video game cartridge's display when you tried to boot it.  If anyone here isn't old enough to remember, the remedy was blowing into the cartridge to get the dust and junk off of it.

1 Clips is Prismatic

Made this looping background after I had the idea of layering primary colors using different blending effects in After Effects.  I thought it turned out pretty cool.  Enjoy!

3 Clips Turn The Tables

Got my hands on a turntable the other day and wanted to offer up a few shots.  You can get a loopable background of the vinyl spinning, a close up of the needle on the disc, and a time lapse of an entire play through.  Personally I like the close-up background.  What is cool is you could apply a little blur effect and it could possibly double as an ultrasound.  HA!

1 Clip needs a Frog

This clip is just fun!  I can think of some fun uses for you, but ultimately it is up to you.  It reminded me of the old arcade game frogger.  Now I just need to find a highway next to a river that has plenty of logs floating down it.  Level 2 here I come! The best part is, this is loopable!

(I do want to note, the nat. sound is pretty bad with the wind, but I wanted to include it.  It is easier to take it out than it is to put something in.)

3 Clips are Contaigous

Last post of the year!  Happy 2012 everyone! I'd like to take full credit for making these, but they began when I was playing around with the preset animation generators in Adobe After Effects.  I've tweaked them to my liking, and they have taken on a very "MEDICAL" feel to them.  Hopefully someone will be able to use these.

2 Clips keep Looping

Had a chance to put together 2 more looping backgrounds. The "Thermal" clip I thought of after watching Predators (not bad).  The "Blonde" clip I came up with after playing around with waves and scaling in After Effects.  Although off the top of my head I cannot think of a time to use the clip, I really, really like it.  My wife says that it looks like wheat as well.  Maybe there is something there.

1 Clip for America

This is just a little something I put together in After Effects.  Thought some people might find it useful with Veterans Day coming up on the 11th of November.

Note: I would love to specialize other clips for other countries that visit this site, but unfortunately I am not in tune with holidays that specifically exist in other countries.  I hope to do more research and be able to offer those as well, with at least some sort of honorable context.

Introducing Clip Packages

Hey Everyone!

I have began packaging select clips to allow people to download a few at a time.  I will try to combine them by subject or content.  This will allow you to download a .zip file of a few clips, and bypass the waiting limit in Uploadstation and Wupload which means you can get more footage in less time.  I will try to offer a variety of options.  You can get to the Clip Package page by clicking the tab at the top of this blog, or just click here

Once again, feel free to comment on this page if you have any questions, or just want to say thanks!

And remember to subscribe, e-mail, facebook, tweet or google +1 this page to your friends and co-workers.

Thanks Again!

4 More Looping Backgrounds

Hey All,

Wanted to shoot out an update of looping backgrounds.  I have had a lot of people in the VJ community interested in some more of these.  Hope these can be used in something!

2 Clips Wish You a Happy October!

Hey Everyone!

Happy October.  While putting together some Fall/Halloween themed clips, I got this great shot that happened by accident.  I was just trying to get footage of spiderwebs, but someone wanted a starring role.

Check it out!

I also wanted to post this looping background.  I'd like to think this is what it would look like if Al Borland created graphic elements for the Red Green Show.

Enjoy and Happy Downloading!

Also please do the site a favor and share these links on Facebook, Twitter or Google +1 me using the buttons below.  THANKS!

Traffic, Traffic, Traffic

One of my first goals I set when creating this blog was visitor traffic that averaged around 50 people a day.  For the past 2 weeks, I am happy to say that the average has been closer to 75!  Now I know that many people coming haven't found any clips they need ... yet.  I am working on bringing a greater variety of clips to the public, so hopefully everyone will have something to take with them when they visit.

Until then, I'll give you a clip today as a thanks for the traffic.

Let me give you a little Background

Hey all,

Besides shooting video, I've also been hard at work on the graphics end as well.  I have decided to post a few of my looping backgrounds for you all to use.  Honestly these are much more valuable than a specific shot, and can be used for a variety of things.
